No loss M4A when the original sound is already AAC (most M4A files) — it’s copied, not re-encoded. Also MP3 → MP3, and WAV or FLAC output.
Small loss Re-encoding to MP3 or M4A. At High it’s very hard to hear; Smaller files trades a bit more quality for size.
